Scope
Sao Be Ngoan is a local-first iPad app for families worldwide. This policy explains how the app handles data when families use the app, enable local reminders, or export backups.
Data stored on device
Sao Be Ngoan stores family data locally on the iPad using Apple's local persistence frameworks. This may include child profile names, nicknames, avatars, selected profile photos, favorite colors, tasks, completions, rewards, redemption requests, behavior records, user-entered feedback, optional contact information entered in feedback, app settings, and local diagnostic logs.
Data sent off device
The app does not use advertising, tracking, data sales, remote push notifications, or third-party crash reporting. No family data leaves the device except in backup files the user exports or shares.
Purpose of processing
Data is processed to operate habit tracking, show progress, create local reminders when enabled, backup or restore data at the user's request, and protect the parent area.
Children and parents
The app is designed for setup and management by a parent or guardian. Children do not need to create an account. During onboarding, the parent or guardian is shown a local data notice and must confirm that they understand and agree before creating the first child profile.
Processors and transfers
Sao Be Ngoan does not send family data to third-party processors. Apple provides the operating system features used for local storage, local notifications, file sharing, Face ID or Touch ID, and app distribution.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains on the iPad until the user edits it, deletes a profile, resets the app, or removes the app.
User rights
Users can access, edit, export, or delete local data in the app.
Backups
Users can export a JSON backup file. The backup may include child information, task history, rewards, behavior records, feedback, and optional contact information entered in feedback. The user controls where that file is saved or shared. Anyone with access to the backup file may be able to read its contents.
Notifications and biometrics
Local reminders are created on device. The app does not register for remote push notifications and does not send a notification device token to a server. Face ID or Touch ID is handled by iPadOS; Sao Be Ngoan does not receive or store biometric data.
